Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She spent the majority of her early years listening to classic music Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic tunes, as well classic classical music. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos along with all dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing in the early years alongside her mother. She received more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. As a student and young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing classic Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
