Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. When she was a kid she was enrolled in her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was aspired to become a professional actor when she was just aged six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school that offers part-time classes. Through a school play as well as the stage of a Stagecoach show, she took as the lead role at age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford drama teacher. After eight consecutive auditions, director David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected as the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance on the big screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. It also was the film that was most popular in 2001. The opening weekend and day ticket sales were record-breaking. Critics praised the film and its performances by the three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British publication, has praised Emma for her exceptional performance. Emma's performance was recognized and later won awards for the film.
